Former champion Marcus Fraser moved into a share of the lead when the second round of the Ballantine’s Championship began at Blackstone Golf Club.
The Australian, who won the title on Jeju Island in 2010, had three birdies in his first eight holes when play resumed to move to four under par for the week.
That was the score Victor Dubuisson had been on overnight after the Frenchman defied blustery conditions with an opening 68.
But the 22 year old had three bogeys and two birdies on the front nine, turning in 37 to be three under for the tournament.
Instead Chile’s Felipe Aguilar, whose only previous European Tour title came four years ago in Indonesia, joined Fraser at the head of affairs.
The 37 year old had a hattrick of gains from the 11th to be three under for the day through five and four under overall.
Dubuisson remained in solo third, but there were no fewer than eight players a shot behind him.
Brits Jamie Donaldson, Mark Foster and Richie Ramsay were all yet to start their second rounds, as was home favourite Jung Ji-ho.
On the course Paul Casey was level par for the day through ten, and joined by his Ryder Cup teammate Miguel Angel Jiménez, the Spaniard turning in a two under 34, and 2009 winner Thongchai Jaidee, who was one under through nine holes, as well as compatriot Anthony Wall, who played his first eight holes in three under.
