Two-time DP World Tour winner Ryan Fox and the 2019 champion Sebastian Söderberg will return to the Omega European Masters in August.
Swede Soderberg claimed his first Tour title at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club three years ago, while New Zealand’s Fox made the breakthrough that same season at the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth, before adding a second title earlier this year at the Ras al Khaimah Classic. It will be a third and fourth appearance respectively for the pair at the Omega European Masters.
Fox is the son of legendary All Blacks player Grant Fox, who helped New Zealand win the 1987 Rugby World Cup, the year Ryan was born. The 35-year-old came close to his first title in 2018 at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, where he eventually finished second after losing the play-off to Scotland’s Russell Knox.
He has been in a rich vein of form this season, currently sitting fifth in the DP World Tour Rankings after his win in Ras al Khaimah, followed by two runner-up positions in May at the Soudal Open in Belgium and the Dutch Open, a third place finish at the BMW International Open in Munich and, most recently, a further second place at the Horizon Irish Open earlier this month.
Söderberg triumphed at the 2019 Omega European Masters after an incredible play-off victory over four other players, including Rory McIlroy. Last May, he was close to a second title at the Betfred British Masters in England and three weeks late ,he finished T5 at the Dutch Open.
Fox and Soderberg join Danish stars Nicolai and Rasmus Højgaard and the legendary Miguel Ángel Jiménez in the field in Crans sur Sierre.
