Here is everything you need to know from the second round at Royal Queensland Golf Club.

Scrivener keeps his foot on the gas

First-round co-leader Jason Scrivener started from the tenth tee early on Friday morning and made one birdie on his front nine before picking up three further shots after the turn to head into the clubhouse on ten under par. None of the later starters were able to catch the 33-year-old Australian, who takes a one-shot lead into the weekend as he goes in search of a first DP World Tour victory.

Fox's fantastic short game

Ryan Fox found himself in a tricky spot after two shots at the 13th but treated the assembled crowds to a bit of magic, bumping his third shot into the slope and watching it trickle into the hole for a bonus birdie.

Scott entertains his home crowd

Major Champion Adam Scott well and truly got the party started at the 17th, sending his adoring fans wild as he holed this enormous putt at the party hole. What a shot, what a celebration...

Meronk throws darts

Adrian Meronk produced a pretty strong shot-of-the-day contender at the sixth, lifting his approach there to about a foot before tapping in the birdie putt. He made six birdies and two bogeys overall on day two to sit three shots off the lead on seven under heading into the weekend. He said: "My highlight of today was the two wedge shots on six and seven, from 128 metres and 130 metres, they were like gimmies, so two in a row, which was quite nice."

Cañizares' big finish

Alejandro Cañizares was in fine form on Friday, picking up shots at the first, seventh, 12th and 13th before closing his round with a stunning birdie to sign for a spotless 66. He went straight for the flag with his approach into the 18th, giving himself a tap-in birdie.
