The Masters Tournament is an impeccably managed golf event. Everything about it oozes class, with little left to chance. Which is why there was mass confusion all round when nobody on the premises apart from Sergio Garcia himself seemed to know what score the Spaniard was on at the 13th hole.
We’ll let the co-leader explain:
“I saw one under go up on 13, but the most important thing is I knew where I stood and knew I was three under,” he said.
“We were hitting it all over the place that hole and were all dressed in light coloured pants and blue sweaters, so I can see why they might have made the mistake. But it was no big deal.”
So there you have it, everyone makes mistakes, even those working at Augusta National. However seeing as though you put on such an amazing event, you’re already forgiven.
