Matthew Fitzpatrick will return to defend his title at the Nordea Masters, held this year at Barsebäck Golf & Country Club in Malmö, Sweden, on June 1-4.
The Englishman won his second European Tour title at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club in 2016 as he eased to a three-shot victory over Lasse Jensen, and will return this year to join a field that includes local favourite and The Open Tournament winner Henrik Stenson, and 2018 European Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn of Denmark.
Fitzpatrick went on to have a stellar season after his Nordea Masters victory, adding the season ending DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, to his list of honours and finishing in sixth place in the Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex.
Fitzpatrick said: “I am delighted to be returning to the Nordea Masters as last year’s win provided a huge stepping stone for me to go on and have a very successful season.
“Also, I have heard great things about Barseback Golf & Country Club so I am really looking forward to the challenge of defending my title.”

For more than 25 years, the Nordea Masters has been a popular event on the European Tour, attracting crowds of more than 70,000 over the week.
The tournament is returning to Barsebäck, which last staged the Nordea Masters in 2009, for the tenth time.
