Fitzpatrick extends Stockholm lead

Matthew Fitzpatrick extended his lead at the Nordea Masters to six shots as the final round got under way at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club.

The Englishman was the only player in the field to have shot three rounds in the 60s so far and he continued his excellent form on Sunday afternoon to stay on track for a second European Tour title.

Fitzpatrick's putting has been his major strength all week and he rolled in an excellent effort on the second to get to 16 under, six clear of defending champion Alex Noren and Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts.

Home favourite Rikard Karlberg was one under through five holes to sit alongside Lasse Jensen at eight under, with the English duo of Andrew Johnston and Tyrrell Hatton a further shot back.

Fitzpatrick showed no signs of nerves on the first as he left himself a tricky 12-footer for par but rolled it in with the confidence he has displayed all week on the greens.

And when he rolled in another from slightly further out on the next, his lead was up to six shots.

Noren and Colsaerts both parred their first four holes, with the former searching for a third title at this event in six years.

Dane Lucas Bjerregaard had set the clubhouse target at two under with a closing 71.
