Fantasy Three to Watch in Dubai

We've arrived in Dubai ahead of the final Desert Swing event of 2017. Some of the game's biggest names have gathered to try and get their hands on one of the largest trophies in the game, literally. The Emirates Majlis course presents an impressive test of golf, with length, fast greens and several risk and reward decisions to be made.

With that in mind, our statistics guru has suggested the following three players for yourDaily Fantasy Teamthis week in South Africa.

Henrik Stenson in Abu Dhabi

It's hard to look past the reigning Race to Dubai champion this week. Henrik Stenson is in the form of his life, finishing in the top ten in 11 of his last 15 European Tour starts including his maiden Major title at last year's Open championship. His 69.1 scoring average since the start of 2016 is the best in golf and he returns to Dubai with a lot of success in the Middle East. He has three wins in career in Dubai and has finished in the top 15 here in each of the last two years. In total, he has six top tens at Emirates Golf Club, including his victory in 2007. The Swede has broken par on the Majlis course in 15 of his last 16 rounds. He is the only player on Tour to average at least 14 Greens in Regulation in each of the last three seasons and rightfully deserves the title of favourite this week.

Form horse: Tyrrell Hatton

Tyrrell Hatton

Tyrrell Hatton has transformed himself from a young player with potential to one of the game's top players. Entering the week ranked a career-best 23 in the world, Hatton may be the most in form player on Tour. Seven straight top 25 finishes, including a win at the Dunhill Links and a runner-up finish at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai two months ago, show why he will be a popular pick this week. The 25 year old finished eighth here last year with rounds of 70, 70, 68 and 66. And if all that doesn't sway you decision, check out this videoof him practicing his short game in Dubai last week.

Wildcard: Peter Hanson

Peter Hanson

Having suffered a serious spinal injury in 2013 that saw him fall out of the top 200 in the world, Peter Hanson is back in Dubai and back in form. A top five in his penultimate event of 2016 at the British Masters show signs of the game that earned the Swede a spot on the 2012 Ryder Cup team and he has continued to impress this year. A top ten in Abu Dhabi was backed up with a final round, bogey-free 65 in Qatar to finish in the top 20. Hanson has two top ten finishes at Emirates Golf Club in his career and closed with 67 last year to finish in the top 30. He turns 40 later this year but still has the game to compete at the top level, evident by the fact he has ranked in the top 15 in Greens in Regulation this season and last season.
