Marc Warren

Marc Warren

It’s been a wild 12 months for Marc Warren since winning the inaugural Made In Denmark. Having been ranked outside the top 150 in the world last summer, the Scot arrives to defend his title inside the top 50. The win last year has sparked Warren’s career and seen him notch 14 top 25s on The European Tour in the last year including two top five finishes in his last five starts. Warren’s short-game improvement appears to be the catalyst for his recent success -  he’s enjoying a career year in terms of Putts per Round, Putts per GIR, Scrambling and Sand Saves. That type of touch around the greens should help the three-time European Tour winner around a short Himmerland Golf Resort layout this week.

Søren Kjeldsen

Soren Kjeldsen

Having become the 30th player to reach 500 European Tour starts last week, Søren Kjeldsen returns to Denmark keen to mark the occasion with a win at his home Open. The 40 year old has enjoyed a comeback season in 2015 with a win at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, followed by a runner-up finish the following week in Sweden and top 15 finishes in France and at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. Kjeldsen finished in the top 15 here last year and will enjoy plenty of local support having been born just 30 miles away in Aalborg.

Matthew Fitzpatrick

Matthew Fitzpatrick is one of the brightest young stars on The European Tour. In the last two months, the 20 year old has had two top three finishes, at the Lyoness Open and Omega European Masters. After a solid showing at the Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play three weeks ago, Fitzpatrick has been resting and practising in America ahead of his return this week. Impressively, the young Englishman is the only player on Tour who ranks inside the top ten in Driving Accuracy and Greens In Regulation.

Rikard Karlberg

Rikard Karlberg

Having missed seven of 12 cuts to start his 2015 campaign, Rikard Karlberg has struck form in recent weeks. With five scores of 67 or better in his last ten rounds, Karlberg has notched two top ten finishes in his last three starts at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and the Omega European Masters. Sitting at 89th in The Race To Dubai, Karlberg will be keen to make a late-season push into the top 60 to play in the season ending DP World Tour Championship for the first time. The Swede played well here last year, closing with a 69 to finish in the top ten.

Kristoffer Broberg

Kristoffer Broberg - making some positive strides on the final day of the Joburg Open

Kristoffer Broberg appears to be on the verge of a big week. Having finished in the top 20 just once in his first 14 starts this seasons, the Swede has now notched five top 20s in his last seven starts including top tens in Austria and Switzerland. The 29 year old has just two rounds higher than 72 in his last 20 rounds. He played well in spells here in Denmark last year shooting a 67 on Friday and a 69 on Sunday. Four rounds like that this week and the four-time Challenge Tour winner may just notch his first European Tour victory.
