US PGA Championship fans opted to give players the toughest test at the 15th hole by selecting the most challenging pin position for the final round.
In an exciting new initiative for the last Major of 2013 at Oak Hill Country Club, spectators were given the opportunity to vote from a choice of four pin placements for the last day – front right, back left, middle left or back right – and the latter won.
At 25 yards from the front and just four yards from the right edge and the steep slope into the pond, the 175-yard par three will test the players’ mettle – will they go for the flag or play safe to the middle of the green?
As the leaders head towards the home straight – and the daunting 17th and 18th holes, statistically the toughest on the course – will it be a case of he who dares, wins?
