Eyes on the prize for the Italian Challenge

The Italian Challenge will boast the biggest prize fund of any European event on the 2019 European Challenge Tour International Schedule.

Terre dei Consoli

The tenth edition of the Italian Challenge will be staged at Terre Dei Consoli Golf Club with players competing for the €300,000 prize fund.

Taking place from June 27-30, the Italian Challenge gives players a chance to quickly rise up the Challenge Tour Rankings in the early part of the year, setting their wheels in motion for a top 15 finish on the Order of Merit at the end of the season and graduation to the European Tour.

Three of the previous five winners won their debut Challenge Tour title at the Italian Challenge, while Sam Little in 2011 and Edoardo Molinari in 2009 claimed their third Challenge Tour wins on the season en route to third and first place finishes respectively.

Terre Dei Consoli will host the event for a second time after Johan Edfors clinched the title ahead of fellow Swede Alexander Björk and Spaniard Jordi García Pinto by three strokes in 2016.
