The partnership was first launched during Golf Live at London Golf Club, and continued with joint promotions at the recent BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club.

Through the agreement, European Tour Properties will use Golfbreaks.com’s unrivalled customer network to promote European Tour Properties Destinations and Courses.  In return, Golfbreaks.com’s travelling golfers will gain preferential access to European Tour Properties’ network of world-class venues through promotions and special offers.

In addition, the partnership will lead to wide-ranging opportunities for Golfbreaks.com and The
European Tour to work together in the future, including the promotion of tournament venues.

David MacLaren, The European Tour’s Director of Property and Venue Development, commented: “Golfbreaks.com are the recognised market leader in the provision of travel to high-quality venues for golfers, and the opportunity to work with them in showcasing our world-class Destinations and Courses is a compelling one.

“Both our venues and visiting golfers will benefit from this partnership, and the interest shown in our network at both Golf Live and the BMW PGA Championship has proven an extremely positive launch to our relationship.”

Andrew Stanley, Chief Executive of Golfbreaks.com, said: “We are delighted to be working with The European Tour, and look forward to promoting these superb golf destinations to our ever-growing client base. The European Tour Properties portfolio includes a number of iconic venues, as well as exciting new Destinations, and I am sure Golfbreaks.com customers will relish the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Tour professionals by playing these renowned championship courses.”

Golfbreaks.com, which covers more than 1,500 resorts and courses across the United Kingdom, Europe and Worldwide, started in 1998 with the aim of providing a unique one-stop service that makes booking golf breaks as simple as possible. In 2011, the company organised golf breaks and holidays - along with stand-alone tee-times through Teeofftimes.co.uk  - for more than 360,000 golfers, with a further 10,000 customers using the BookaSpa.com service to book spa breaks and spa days.

The Golfbreaks group is a privately-owned business based in Windsor which employs 115 staff, and is widely recognised as Europe's largest golf tour operator.  It is also an official supplier to the PGA, golf travel partner of the Daily Telegraph and has partnership deals with HSBC and Bauer Media.
