European Tour and European Senior Tour members have paid tribute to Tommy Horton who has passed away aged 76.
Horton, winner of the John Jacobs Trophy a record five times, was one of the most influential players in the development of both the European Tour and Senior Tour, enjoying a career which spanned more than half a century.
Horton turned professional in 1957, represented GB&I twice at The Ryder Cup, won eight times on the European Tour and 23 times on the over-50s circuit.
Senior Tour members playing at the MCB Tour Championship are wearing black ribbons in memory of Horton.
Tommy Horton was one of finest gentlemen I ever met in the game of golf.
