Are these the European Tour's luckiest shots?

Are these the luckiest shots from the last two decades on the European Tour? Watch below as James Kingston gets a hole in one with help from a tree, Robert Rock gets an unlikely bounce from a bridge, and three players get lucky from wayward shots in to the rocks.

James Kingston: 2002 Dunhill Championship

Who says you need to aim for the pin? Straight to the top of the list is this unlikely hole in one from James Kingston during the 2002 Dunhill Championships, where his ball clattered in to the trees on the 15th hole before rebounding back on to the green and in to the hole for an ace - and the added bonus of an Audi TT!

Darren Clarke: 2005 European Open

Darren Clarke had the luck of the Irish on his side when he hit his second shot in to the rocks on the par-five 18th at the Smurfit European Open in 2005, only for his ball to bounce a number of times and find its way back on to dry land.

Robert Rock: 2010 Portugal Open

Speaking of favourable breaks, Robert Rock had a lot to thank this bridge for after hitting in to the stone structure and ending a few feet from the pin during the 2010 Portugal Open.

Padraig Harrington: 2012 Hong Kong Open

From behind the trees at the 2012 Hong Kong Open to just short of the green, Padraig Harrington was full of smiles after his ball skipped across the water on his second shot to the par-four 18th.

Graeme McDowell: 2012 Abu Dhabi Championship

Hitting from the sand on the 18th hole at the Abu Dhabi Championships in 2012, McDowell used the advertising boards at the back of the green for some help to get his ball closer to the hole.

Nacho Elvira: 2017 Nedbank Golf Challenge

Described by the commentators as 'the break of the century', Nacho Elvira's third shot to the par-five ninth hole flew through the green towards the water, only to hit the rocks and jump back towards the direction it came from and on to the putting surface.

George Coetzee: 2017 Volvo China Open

George Coetzee's shouts of 'fore' were never needed as his second shot to the par five 18th smashed in to the top of the green side hospitality tent and rolled just a few feet from the hole.

Matt Wallace: 2017 Italian Open

'You've got to be kidding me'

Matt Wallace celebrated in style after sinking this unlikely recovery shot for birdie at the 17th hole after missing the green with his approach.

Chris Wood: 2018 Oman Open

Last but not least, Chris Wood was in a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard when he hit his drive on the 18th hole in Oman in 2018, and was given a helping hand from the rocks.
