Across the DP World Tour, Challenge Tour, Legends Tour and G4D Tour, the European Tour group plays host to over 100 events a year, both promoted by ourselves and through promoter colleagues.

Throughout all these events, we are aiming to be the most sustainable professional golf circuit in the world and as part of our Green Drive sustainability programme, we have committed to halving our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieving net zero carbon by 2040.

With over 2,500 suppliers across the group, it is vital that suppliers connected to delivering our events are bought into this mission and are supported to deliver best in class sustainability solutions.

To recognise best practice and the spirit of innovation that already exists, we are launching the first ever European Tour group Sustainability Awards. Across five categories, these awards will honour the suppliers who are leading the way in helping us deliver sustainable tournaments.

The Awards are open to all suppliers who have worked at the following DP World Tour, Challenge Tour, Legends Tour or G4D Tour events in the Middle Eastern region in the 2023 – 2024 season, including:

• Dubai Invitational;

• Hero Dubai Desert Classic;

• Ras Al Khaimah Championship;

• Bahrain Championship presented by Bapco Energies;

• Commercial Bank Qatar Masters;

• Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship;

• DP World Tour Championship;

• Abu Dhabi Challenge; and

• UAE Challenge.

Winners will be announced at the DP World Tour Championship.

The categories are:

Venues: Recognising the host venues that are leading the way in their commitment and achievements to sustainability endeavours in and around the golf club.

Event Staging: Infrastructure that contributes to the event build (i.e. temporary structures, grandstands, scaffolding, branding) that has embraced sustainable practices.

Event Operations: Services and utilities that support event delivery (i.e. power, water, security, cleaning) that have embraced sustainable practices.

Innovations & Activations: Open to all suppliers and partners of the tournament that have gone above and beyond to roll out an initiative that helped to deliver a more sustainable event.

Catering: All suppliers that support food or beverage supply across events, whether that is in the clubhouse, hospitality pavilions or spectator fan village.
