Thomas Bjørn's visitors trailed Asia 3½-2½ after Friday's fourball matches but made a strong start to the foursomes on Saturday.

Race to Dubai champion Tommy Fleetwood and Ryder Cup star Henrik Stenson were three up against Anirban Lahiri and S.S.P Chawrasia after 11 holes as Europe held a commanding lead in the top match for the second successive day.

Paul Casey and Tyrrell Hatton had been one up against Byeong Hun An and Kiradech Aphibarnrat after winning the final two holes of their front nine but, after losing the tenth they were all square.

Alex Levy and Rafa Cabrera Bello's clash with Yuta Ikeda and Gavin Green was also all square after nine holes but Matthew Fitzpatrick and Thomas Pieters were two up on Sunghoon Kang and Poom Saksansin in match four.

Paul Dunne and Alex Noren were all square against Hideto Tanihara and 18 year old Phachara Khongwatmai in a repeat of yesterday's fourball match-up.
