An evening of entertainment at the Champions Dinner at Sun City heralded the start of the 2017 Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player with golf’s global stars joining the South African legend in the tournament curtain-raiser.
MC Di Dougherty joined Player in the Sun Arena to welcome some of the world’s best golfers on stage, with the assembled audience also enjoying music from Just Jinjer - one of South Africa’s top selling bands – and Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse.
Defending champion Alex Noren marked his return to Sun City by taking to the stage for a Q&A with the tournament host and fellow Rolex Series winners Rafa Cabrera Bello and Tyrrell Hatton.
Nine time Major winner Player then welcomed his compatriots Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel and Ireland’s Padraig Harrington for a fascinating insight into their triumphs in golf’s greatest events.
The Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player is the seventh of eight Rolex Series events and the penultimate event of the 2017 Race to Dubai.
