The DP World Tour Championship, Dubai has won the category for the ‘Best Professional Golf Event, Fan Experience’ at the Middle East Golf Awards (MEGAs) hosted by Sport360.
A total of 15 winners were announced at the second annual MEGAs, which were held at Jumeirah Emirates Towers and attended by more than 280 industry professionals from Dubai, the UAE and Middle East.
The Best Professional Golf Event, Fan Experience award was one of the public voting categories for events up to October 25, 2014, so the award was for the 2013 DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.
Nick Tarratt, Director of The European Tour International – Dubai Office, said: “We are delighted to win an award at the MEGAs for the second consecutive year. To win an award which is voted for by the public is an acknowledgement of the importance of the tournament to attract spectators through the Free Ticket initiative, as well as provide entertainment for both the golfing and non-golfing fan during the tournament week.
