Donaldson set to return to Crans

Ryder Cup hopeful Jamie Donaldson is the latest in a long line of European Tour stars to commit to the 80th edition of the Omega European Masters.

Donaldson, who is in line to make his Ryder Cup debut at The Gleneagles Hotel in September, is currently in sixth place in The Race to Dubai after a superb 2014 season.

Something of a late bloomer, Donaldson captured his debut European Tour title in the 2012 Irish Open, before adding the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship to his resumé the following year.

The Welshman ended the season in fifth place in The Race to Dubai and he has continued that fine form this year with numerous notable performances, including at the WGC-Cadillac Championship in Miami, where he finished runner-up.

Donaldson will grace the finely manicured fairways of the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club for the tenth time when the Omega European Masters takes place from September 4-7.

The 28 year old boasts a fine recent record in the €2.3million tournament, having finished in a tie for ninth place in 2012 and a share of third place the year before.
