The back-to-back Scandinavian events start in Finland at the beginning of the month before the Made in Denmark Challenge presented by FREJA brings a close to the double-header at Silkeborg Ry Golf Klub from August 7-10.

For its fifth edition, the event heads to Silkeborg for the first time and continues the tradition of showcasing the event, as well as the stars of the Challenge Tour, to different locations within the country.

The Danish fans were able to cheer home their first homegrown winner of the event last year, when Joachim B. Hansen lifted his second title of 2018, en route to ending the season as the Challenge Tour Number One.

Hansen started the weekend five shots behind the leader, but carded an exceptional eight under par, round of 63, to move ahead with 18 holes to play. The Dane remained in control throughout the final round and delighted the home fans with his victory as he moved to the top of the Challenge Tour Rankings, where he stayed for the remainder of the campaign.
