Everything you need to know from day two at the 2020 ISPS Handa Vic Open.
Sciot-Siegrist soared, everyone was playing chase the ace and a sibling rivalry was starting to look serious on Friday in Victoria.
Here is everything you need to know from round two at 13th Beach Club.
Robin takes flight
Robin Sciot-Siegrist endured a double disappointment at the end of last season as he finished second at the Challenge Tour Grand Final and ended the campaign 16th on the Road to Mallorca. He could have been forgiven if his head had gone down but he went to the Qualifying School, got his card, and now takes a two shot lead into the weekend after a flawless second round 64. "It was a great round," he said. "It was similar to yesterday, I played really good golf and putted really well. Overall just a very nice round and everything is going great. In general, I don't have many expectations. I'm just trying to do my job, like really do what I need to do on the course and during practice rounds and everything. When I'm playing, obviously there's pressure and everything, but I'm just trying to do my best and we'll see at the end. There's two more days, we're only halfway. I played really good golf, hopefully it continues like that."
Morgan facing the fear
Jed Morgan won the Australian Amateur last month but now he is right in the mix to claim a win amongst the professionals, although he is still ineligible to take a cheque home. The 20-year-old sits just three shots off the lead heading into the weekend and he admits such lofty heights in a European Tour event can be daunting as an amateur. "I'm a bit scared but it's all going to come in sort of one hit and I'm going to try and learn as much as I can from the players that are around me. They're all a little bit better so they've obviously been in that situation a few more times. But then also just stick to what I'm doing, like me and my brother are having quite a bit of fun and just chewing the fat a little bit, so it's good fun."
Aces everywhere
Jarryd Felton made the third hole-in-one of the 2020 Race to Dubai as he holed a nine iron from 145 yards at the par three 12th on the Creek Course. "I hit it just right," he said. "Rode the wind, hit the slope and as soon as it hit the slope Marto (Andrew Martin) went, 'get in'. I was like, 'it's a bit early to be calling that'. Then it went in and I was like, 'oop, it went in'. So that was kind of cool." And over on the Beach, China's Jing Yan made an ace of her own on the third. What a day.
It’s raining aces!! Well showering, anyhow.

It's Geoff Ogilvy
Whenever a Major Champion is in town, they tend to get noticed. That was certainly the case for Geoff Ogilvy as he carded an excellent 67 to get right in the mix for a first European Tour title in over a decade. One person who was paying plenty of attention to the local hero was the ever enthusiastic Christina Kim.
It happened again.

Sensational siblings
Minjee Lee is a two time winner of this event and she will head into the weekend at nine under and just four off the lead in the women's event. "I'll definitely have my past experiences and obviously my other wins that I've had since I'm in this position," she said. "There's still a lot of golf to be played so I'm just going to go one shot at a time and just play my own game." Brother Min Woo is just three shots off the lead in the men's event and is eager to get one over on his older sibling. "I like my chances," he said. What odds both Lees are lifting a trophy on Sunday?
