Aaron Rai's even par 70 was enough to take the outright lead at the halfway point of the 2020 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.
Here is everything you need to know from Friday's difficult second round at Galgorm Spa & Resort.
Higgo nearly holes out
Garrick Higgo, last week's winner at the Open de Portugal at Royal Óbidos, struggled in his second round in Ballymena but was one foot from a superb ace at the par three 12th. The South African looked like he overhit his tee shot before the screw back, with the help of the fringe, raced towards the hole and pull up for a tap in birdie.
Shane Lowry's lovely room
The 148th Open Championship winner Shane Lowry was aiming to make the cut after a first round 75. There was a delay of 90 minutes to the start of round two due to morning frost in Ballymena and the Irishman was more than happy to remain in his hotel room for a little while longer.

Spectators at Galgorm Spa & Resort?!
Due to the global health crisis, there have been no crowds at any European Tour event since golf resumed competitive action in July. However, there were three spectators at Galgorm Spa & Resort who made the most of their land being immediately adjacent to the host venue. Although, their cattle were not so keen.

Hend's huge birdie
Scott Hend rolled back the years, and the birdies, as he reached the midway point at three under par. The 47-year-old Australian carded four bogeys and picked up five shots, including a monster putt at the 13th.
Lagergren shines on difficult day
Intermittent rain and swirling winds meant low scoring proved difficult on Friday, with only 12 players reaching the clubhouse in the red numbers. Swede Joakim Lagergren was the star of the day though, carding a four under 66 to earn a share of second place.
