Day three digest: 2022 Ras Al Khaimah Classic

Everything you need to know from Moving Day at Al Hamra Golf Club.

Al Hamra Golf Club

Ryan ran riot, Bob was showing off his sand skills, Pablo was cursing pins and Richard was unleashing his inner David Bailey on day three of the 2022 Ras Al Khaimah Classic.

Here is everything you need to know from Saturday in the desert.

Fox in no mood to be caught

Entering the weekend with a three-shot lead must be a pretty good felling - ending Moving Day having doubled it must be something else. Ryan Fox carded a 65 on Saturday to get 19 under and lead the way by six from Adri Arnaus, Pablo Larrazábal, Scott Jamieson and Adrian Meronk. "I've put myself exactly where I want to be and it's that cliché - it's all on me tomorrow," said Fox. "Somebody is going to have to go out and shoot something really low or I'm going to have to play poorly so hopefully I can keep playing how I've played the last couple of days and put it out of reach."

Lucky or brave?

Fox admitted it was a bit of both after he pushed his second on the par-five third to eagle range.

No luck involved here

Quite the opposite in fact - it deserved a better fate, Pablo.

Bob Ballesteros

We talk a lot about Spanish hands but they have pretty good mitts in Oban, too. What a recovery from Robert MacIntyre.

Picture perfect

There are lots of photographers with cameras lining the fairways at DP World Tour events as well as fans taking pictures with their phones. Occasionally, we even get players taking pictures with their phones but a player with a camera is a rarity. Well we had one on Saturday as Richard Sterne took a snap of playing partner Oliver Fisher. Hopefully Mr 59 was giving it some Blue Steel.
