Everything you need to know from day three in Vilamoura.
Pavon and Pieters powered ahead, Lucas had one thing on his mind, there was some superb iron play and our announcer got in a bit of a muddle on Saturday at the 2021 Portugal Masters.
Here is everything you need to know from Moving Day at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course.
Pavon and Pieters power to pole position
Thomas Pieters and Matthieu Pavon entered day three two shots off the lead but will enter day four sharing a four shot advantage. In a see-saw day, Pavon led by three just after the turn but Pieters came home in 30 and they both finished the day at 16 under after rounds of 65. "I putted well, I gave myself plenty of chances and it's nice to walk off with a putt like that," said four time winner Pieters after holing a 25 footer on the last in a birdie birdie finish. "It's nice to be 16 under... hopefully I'll have a chance tomorrow." Pavon is looking for a maiden victory and added: "I try to hit as many greens as possible and this is the way I was. Focused on every shot, try to hit every shot like it was the most important in my life. The focus was really good and narrow today compared to yesterday so I will try to bring this mentality with me tomorrow."
Bjerregaard focused on one thing
Lucas Bjerregaard heads into the final day four shots off the lead and 136th in the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex. A winner here in 2017, the Dane needs a good couple of weeks to make sure he keeps his playing privileges, but he would rather settle the matter on Sunday. "This week and next week, it’s all about the result," he said. "I haven’t played well these last three days, it’s not been pretty or fairway-green all the time but I don’t really care. I just have to get the job done. It doesn’t matter where I hit it, I just have to hit it better next time. It’s all about the result. It’s all on me. No one else is going to get me over the line. I’m going to go out and try and win this thing, that’ll take care of everything."

A case of mistaken identity
When is Callum Shinkwin not Callum Shinkwin? When he's Thomas Pieters, of course! Fun and games on the first tee.
