Wu waltzed ahead, Bryson battled and everybody was tickled pink on day three of the 2020 Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

Here is everything you need to know from the third round at Emirates Golf Club.

Wu makes his move

Wu Ashun started his round with a spectacular eagle and there was not a lot of let up from there as he carded a 67 to get to 11 under and lead by one after 54 holes. The Chinese finished 137th on last season's Race to Dubai but has three European Tour wins to his name and knows what it takes to get over the line. "Today my short game was great, just great," he said. "I got a feeling just good chips and good with the putter. I'm very comfortable and very relaxed for the weekend and playing the final round. I'm always happy to play the final round in the final group."

It may be the beginning of the year of the rat in his native China but Wu was celebrating the day of the eagle in Dubai - and how he celebrated.

Beware the injured Bryson

After missing the cut last week and feeling ill here in Dubai, you could maybe have forgiven Bryson DeChambeau for writing off his title defence at Emirates Golf Club. On Saturday he was feeling the worst he had felt all week - his ears didn't pop until the 13th - but he still managed to card a 70 and get within two of the lead. "It would be incredible," he said of a potential successful defence. "Being under the weather and fighting through some of the stuff that happened last week and persevering this week would be a tremendous honour." Beware the injured golfer.

Pink Saturday

Emirates Golf Club turned pink on Saturday to raise awareness for breast cancer charities. From Eddie Pepperell's hat to Bryson's shirt to Dean Burmester's trousers (and socks!). The flags were pink and even the fans got involved - all in aid of a great cause.
