Everything you need to know from the opening day at The Belfry.
Fox finished fantastically, Olesen didn't put a foot wrong and we were treated to some excellent long putts on day one of the 2022 Betfred British Masters hosted by Danny Willett.
Here is everything you need to know from the opening day at The Belfry.
Fox's fabulous finish
Ryan Fox was enjoying a steady round as he approached the 16th tee but, at three under par, he was still some way off the clubhouse target of six under set by morning starter Thorbjørn Olesen. That changed in the space of three holes as the New Zealander tapped in from around four feet at the 16th and 17th before holing a huge putt on the last to make it three birdies in a row and join Olesen at the summit with a 66.
Rasmus returns to happy hunting ground
Rasmus Højgaard has fond memories of playing at The Belfry, having won his second DP World Tour title here in 2020 at the ISPS HANDA UK Championship. But on that occasion, the tournament was played behind closed doors. The talented Dane was enjoying playing in front of huge crowds on Thursday, as he fired an opening 68. He said: "It's awesome. I wasn't expecting to see so many people this morning, so that kind of got me off guard a little bit but it's very enjoyable. The more, the better."
Bjørn's bunker bonus
There's more than one way to get out of a bunker, as Thomas Bjørn proved with this effort. Check out the reaction...

And Thomas made the most of his lucky break, holing the putt for an unlikely par.
Host Willett starts well
A 73 may not have been the outcome tournament host Danny Willett was hoping for on day one, but he treated the crowds to some excellent golf along the way. How good was this approach into the first green?
