63 - Low score of the day from Scotland's Marc Warren. Having started with six birdies in a row, Warren fired an eight par round, his lowest on the European Tour since September 2014.

24 - Putts for the Scot on day one. Nobody in the field had fewer.

64- For Eddie Pepperell was his best round of the season, beating the 65s the Englishman shot at last week's British Masters and the Alfred Dunhill Championship at the start of the 2016 Race to Dubai.

30- The number of places Pepperell is projected to jump in the Race to Dubai rankings after his opening round. He started the week ranked 110th, on the bubble of players who will keep their Tour card after this week.

3- Players moved from outside to inside the projected top 111 in the Race to Dubai: Oliver Fisher, Mikko Korhonen, and Paul Peterson, who is already exempt for next year thanks to his win in the Czech Republic.
