Dantorp joins Gangjee at the top

Young Swede Jens Dantorp took to the top of the leaderboard alongside Rahil Gangjee midway through the third day at the Gujarat Kensville Challenge as Shiv Kapur dropped a shot behind the pace on a breezy day at Kensville Golf and Country Club, Gujarat, India.

Dantorp, who won the Nordic League Tour last year to qualify for the Challenge Tour, was holding steady on the front nine while many others faltered, carding eight successive pars to remain level par through eight holes and six under for the tournament.

Gangjee, meanwhile, started well with a birdie on the first hole but followed that up with a bogey on the second before another birdie at the fourth was followed by bogeys at the fifth and seventh to drop to one over through eight holes and six under for the tournament alongside Dantorp.

Andreas Hartø, meanwhile, was having a much better day as he joined Kapur in tied third as five birdies and one bogey left him on four under through 15 and five under for the tournament.

Kapur had been holding steady with seven pars in his first seven holes but came unstuck at the par three eighth hole, where he suffered a double bogey five.

Oskar Henningsson was the leader in the clubhouse after a four under par 68 left him just three shots off the lead on three under par.

While many were struggling on the third day, Philip Archer was a man who was not having any such trouble, carding four birdies in his first 15 holes to move to four under for the tournament in tied fifth place.
