Course Details
The golf course at Simon’s Golf Club was designed by Martin Hawtree, a well-known English golf architect. The name Hawtree has been synonymous with golf architecture since 1912, and Martin Hawtree is the third generation of the Hawtree family to go into this profession. The Hawtrees have designed a great number of the most famous golf courses in Europe, USA and the Middle East — and now for the first time in Denmark, where the course was officially opened in May 1993.
Course Layout
The course features 12 right to left dog leg holes and similar to wentworth closes with two par 5's. The course is generally dry with a lot of run on the ball - he forecast is dry and warm.
Fairways
Fairways: Bent Fescue at 12mm.
Greens
Greens: Bent Fescue and Poa at 2.7mm. The undulating greens were running at 9.5 on the stimp on Tuesday of the tournament.
Rough
Semi-Rough: Bent, Fescue, plus Poa around the greens @ 35mm
Intermediate Rough: Bent, Fescue, Poa 64mm
Rough: Bent, Fescue, Poa 100mm
