Cordon Golf Open Prize Fund Bolstered

The Cordon Golf Open has announced that the tournament prize fund will increase to €230,000 ahead of the 12thplaying of the popular event.

The additional €20,000 will offer valuable earnings to the best players on the European Challenge Tour as they jockey for a coveted top 15 position on the Road to Ras Al Khaimah.

Held at the stunning Golf Blue Green de Pléneuf Val André in Pleneuf, France, the Cordon Golf Open has become the most lucrative of the four Challenge Tour competitions in France, and is sure to draw an elite field, complete with the country’s top golfers.

Director of the Challenge Tour, Alain de Soultrait said: “The title sponsor, Cordon Electronics, has been a tremendous supporter of the Challenge Tour for several years, and once again they have demonstrated their commitment to the game’s future stars. We are thrilled about this news and cannot wait to return to this beautiful part of the world for one of our favourite events.”

The Cordon Golf Open runs from August 30- September 2 and represents the 21stevent on the Challenge Tour International Schedule.
