Forming the second part of the first-ever Indian Ocean Swing on the Staysure Tour, the MCB Tour Championship-Seychelles will be played the week after the MCB Tour Championship-Mauritius at Constance Belle Mare Plage, another world-class resort in the Indian Ocean.

A field of 32 golfers will compete for a prize fund of $300,000, with the winning taking home a cheque for approximately $70,000.

In order to ensure that the golf course at Constance Lemuria is of a Championship standard, a number of improvements were made in 2016 across the entire layout including:

·        The construction of new professional tees on the fifth, seventh, tenth and 11thholes

·        Improving the quality of the playing surface across the course and enlarging greens where possible

·        Squaring-off tee boxes

·        Selective clearing of underbrush, trees and vegetation from holes one to 18

·        Construction of a practice range near the 18thhole

·        Reversing hole 12 and constructing a new par three

Bruno Le Gac, General Manager, Constance Lemuria, said: “The whole team at Constance Lemuria is looking forward to host the golf legends in Praslin for the MCB Tour Championship. The golf team is putting all its energy into making the golf course perfect for the champions.

“It is a pleasure and an honour to be a host venue of the Staysure Tour and we can’t wait to see the great drama unfold on our golf course.”
