A flawless performance saw Campillo hit the front while there were excellent eagles and some brilliant battling on day three of the 2023 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
Everything you need to know from Moving Day at Doha Golf Club.
Former winner Campillo in fine form
Jorge Campillo, who won this title in 2020, had to play eight holes of his second round on Saturday morning before coming back for the third round. And he had a flawless day, firing four birdies to sign for a second-round 65 before notching six more birdies in the first 17 holes of his third round before fading light halted play. That moved the Spaniard to 16 under and handed him a one-shot overnight lead over Finland's Sami Välimäki.
Pulkkanen battling hard for his card
Tapio Pulkkanen began the week 139th on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex, needing a strong result to secure his card for next season. And he did his chances of sneaking into the top 116 no harm in round three, making eight birdies and two bogeys in his 66 to reach 11 under par and give himself hope. Here's what he said after his round...
"I'm going to shoot five under tomorrow and that'll be enough for the card!" 🙌

MacIntyre goes right at it
Robert MacIntyre had been looking for something to spark his third round into life after covering the front nine in 36 courtesy of one birdie and one bogey. And boy did he find it, making a stunning eagle two from the 11th fairway. Check out the celebration...
Jamieson's perfect putting
Scott Jamieson enjoyed a brilliant birdie burst around the turn, reeling off four in a row from the ninth and holing some absolute monsters in the process. After getting his first birdie of the day from 30 feet just before the turn, the Scot made a 50-footer on the tenth before draining putts from 22 and 50 feet respectively at the next two holes to make it four in a row. And he didn't stop there, finishing his round with a flourish to make it eight birdies in his final ten holes. He heads into the fourth round on 13 under par, looking to wrap up his card for next season, having started the week 119th on the Rankings. He said: "I’m going to be in a funny situation. A chance to win the tournament but also the massive elephant in the room as well. I need to make sure I’m in the right frame of mind and try and win the tournament, hopefully the rest will take care of itself."
Hillier lands vital eagle
Daniel Hillier held a two-shot lead at the halfway stage of the tournament after completing a sparkling second-round 65 on Saturday morning. But he made a nightmare start to round three, opening with a hat-trick of bogeys before dropping another shot on the sixth. His round finally clicked into gear at the start of the back nine, though, as he rolled in from 42 feet for an extraordinary eagle on the tenth.
