Home favourite George Coetzee stormed into a share of the lead during the third and final round of the weather-affected Joburg Open.
The South African, who won this event in 2014, joined overnight co-leader Paul Waring on 13 under par after carding an eagle, seven birdies and a single bogey in his first 15 holes.
South African trio Jaco Ahlers, Darren Fichardt and Jacques Kruyswijk were another stroke back on 12 under.
The 30 year old had opened his third round with an eagle at the first to get to seven under par on Saturday before play was suspended due to thunder, lightning and subsequent course flooding.
The tournament was reduced to 54 holes, with play set to resume at 07.00am on Sunday.
After another delay on Sunday morning, Coetzee reached the turn in 33 after following up a bogey at the second with gains at the third, sixth and eighth holes.
He notched another birdie at the tenth before coming within inches of holing his approach shot at the 13th.
Coetzee rolled in his close-range birdie putt to get to 11 under before picking up further shots at the 14th and 15th to join Waring at the top.
Waring, who held a share of the lead after the second round, also opened his third round with an eagle but dropped a shot at the third to fall back to 12 under.
He fired his first birdie of the day at the fifth to head back to the top of the leaderboard shortly before Coetzee birdied the 15th to join him at the summit.
