As the European Tour makes its return to competitive golf, we’ve been working tirelessly with our new testing partner Cignpost, who are providing on-site rapid COVID-19 screening processes and services in order to help mitigate risk.
This new day to day operation is part of our Health Strategy developed by European Tour Chief Medical Officer Dr Andrew Murray, and will become the norm for the players, caddies and staff for the remainder of 2020.
With around 500 personnel on site each day during the UK Swing, thorough testing is a must in order for the Tour to continue moving around the nation for the next six weeks. Every day, each person arriving at the golf course is given a temperature check as well as a PCR test, with the results being turned around in two hours.
