The Challenge Tour Series returns on Tuesday June 16 with episode two, which features promising young Swede Pontus Widegren as he shows off his tennis skills and discusses his maiden season on the tour, while Rankings leader Jordi Garcia Pinto also features.
Widegren, who represented University of California in American collegiate golf, has enjoyed an impressive start to his Challenge Tour career, currently sitting in 14th place in the Rankings, but the Stockholm native proves in this week’s episode that he is man of many talents.
The 23 year old ace serves up a treat on the tennis court while discussing his season so far, while we also speak to his compatriot Oscar Stark as well as Rankings leader Garcia Pinto, Korea’s An and German Bernd Ritthammer before the highlights from the Challenge de Catalunya take centre stage.
Dodge Kemmer also takes the spotlight as the American takes a stroll around the Madeiran capital of Funchal, while Frenchmen Edouard Dubois and Alexandre Kaleka entertain themselves with some crazy golf in the hotel on the Portuguese island.
José-Filipe Lima, Tain Lee and Andrew Johnstone also feature in the second episode of the Challenge Tour’s magazine programme, which airs on Tuesday evening in the UK on Sky Sports 4 at 17:30, before being repeated on Wednesday and Thursday.
