Jorge Campillo made three birdies in five holes to join a five way tie for the lead on the final day of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
The Spaniard arrived at Doha Golf Club off the back of a fifth second place on the European Tour as he still seeks that elusive first win.
Birdies on the first, fourth and fifth moved him to ten under alongside countryman Nacho Elvira, Belgian Thomas Detry, overnight leader Oliver Wilson and South African Erik van Rooyen.
South Africans Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Justin Harding, South Korean Jinho Choi, Australian Nick Cullen, Swede Anton Karlsson and Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera were then a shot off the lead.
Choi made a big early move, birdieing his first three holes and adding gains on the eighth and ninth to turn in 31 and get to eight under.
Harding started the day a shot back of that mark but birdied the first for the fourth day in a row and then added another at the third to join the group in second.
Detry went five under for the week on the first with a birdie, and with playing partner Karlsson also making a gain, there was a seven way tie in second.
It was not that way for long, however, as Harding birdied the fourth to continue his flying start and take a share of the lead.
Van Rooyen also took advantage of the first and an eight foot birdie from Detry on the second made it a four way share at the top.
The first was proving gettable for most of the field and while Elvira got up and down from the sand to make a gain and get to ten under, playing partner Wilson also birdied to edge back into a one shot lead.
Van Rooyen gave his birdie back on the second but regained it on the third in a roller coaster start, with Wilson making a second bogey of the week on the second.
Campillo then holed from 15 feet on the fifth to join the lead.
Choi made another birdie on the 12th, Harding dropped a shot on the sixth, and Bezuidenhout had gains on the fourth and fifth.
Cullen and Lorenzo-Vera started their rounds with three pars.
