Thomas Björn stormed into the Omega European Masters lead following a stunning outward 31 in the final round at Crans-sur-Sierre.

Björn has been a model of consistency in the tournament thus far, making just two bogeys over the first three days.

The Dane struck five birdies on the front nine to turn two strokes ahead of Victor Dubuisson, Alejandro Cañizares and Craig Lee on 19 under par.

Björn’s efforts will have been particularly galling for the chasing trio, who have acquitted themselves well today.

Lee, who held a two stroke advantage overnight, is one under for his round, while Cañizares and Dubuisson have picked up a further two shots apiece.

It seems that any likely challenge for Björn will come from one of those three, with nearest challenger Ross Fisher three further back.
