Brand Jnr hoping to go Double Dutch

Gordon Brand Jnr is eyeing up a Dutch Double as he attempts to add the inaugural Van Lanschot Senior Open to the Dutch Open title he won on The European Tour in 1987.

The Scotsman heads to The Royal Haagsche Golf and Country on the back of four consective top ten finishes sparked by his maiden Senior Tour victory in the Matrix Jersey Classic last month.

Brand Jnr followed his win on the Channel Island with a share of ninth place in Ireland, fourth in Wales and fifth in The De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship.

After taking a week off during the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open, the 51 year old – who is currently 11th on the Senior Tour Order of Merit - is ready to continue his stunning sequence.

Brand Jnr’s Dutch Open success 23 years ago was one of his eight European Tour titles and helped him secure a Ryder Cup debut at Muirfield Village that year.
