BMW PGA CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES - DAY THREE

MATTEO MANASSERO (208 (-5)
*Should he win he would become the youngest player to win the championship, aged 18 years and 40 days, beating the record of Bernard Gallacher who was 20 and 97 days in 1969.

*Should he win he would move into the top 20 of the Official World Golf Ranking and become the youngest player to achieve the feat, beating Sergio Garcia's record of 19 years and 267 days in 1999.

*Should he win he would become the second Italian to win the BMW PGA Championship, following Costantino Rocca in 1996.

*Should he win he would create European Tour history by becoming the quickest player to win three events since turning professional, in just 23 tournaments as a pro.

*Should he win he would move through the €2 million barrier in European Tour Official Career Earnings and would be the quickest to achieve this feat, from just 23 events.

LUKE DONALD (208 (-5)
*Should he finish ahead of Lee Westwood would go to World Number One in the Official World Golf Ranking.

*Continues his excellent record in the BMW PGA Championship. In his six previous appearances has never finished worse than tied 35th and been in the top seven in three of the last four years.

LEE WESTWOOD 210 (-3)
Looking to claim his first BMW PGA Championship in his 18th appearance.

*Needs to finish level with or ahead of Luke Donald to retain his position as Number One in the Official World Golf Ranking.

*Should he win he would join Seve Ballesteros, Ian Woosnam, Sir Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie and Paul Casey, as players to win the BMW PGA Championship and World Match Play Championship over the West Course at Wentworth.

FABRIZIO ZANOTTI 210 (-3)
*His run of seven consecutive threes is the most in the history of the BMW PGA Championship.

*Should he win he would become the first player since Scott Drummond in 2004 to make the BMW PGA Championship their first European Tour victory.

*His best previous performances on The European Tour was second at the 2009 Open de Espana and tied second in the 2010 KLM Open.

*Should he win he would become the first player from Paraguay to win on The European Tour.

RORY McILROY 214 (+1)
*His round of 68 (-3) was the best round of the day.

*Began the third round in a tie for 54th having made the 36 hole cut on the mark at 146 (+4). As a result of his 68 has moved into a tie for 18th.

*The leading Club Professional is Matt Morris in a tie for 35th on 216 (+3).
