The DP World Tour returns to Germany for a second time this season for the final event of the European Swing, the fourth of five Global Swings on the 2024 Race to Dubai.

There's plenty at stake at the sixth and final counting event of the Swing, with a spot of the Genesis Scottish Open up for grabs to the Swing Champion as well as places in The 152nd Open at Royal Troon for the top five players not otherwise exempt on the Race to Dubai.

Current Swing leader Guido Migliozzi will be teeing up this week hoping to retain his position at the top above Nacho Elvira, while Thriston Lawrence returns to defend the title he won last year and last week's champion Marcel Siem is among a number of German stars that will be hoping to impress on home soil.

Away from the top of the rankings, of the biggest focuses of the week will be on Bernhard Langer, the most successful German golfer of all time, who is set to make his 513th and final appearance on the DP World Tour.

Ryan Fox will also make his third appearance in a regular DP World Tour event this season as he begins a three-week stretch in Europe that will also include the Genesis Scottish Open and The 152nd Open, and he is joined by 2016 Masters champion Danny Willett, who won his maiden DP World Tour title at the BMW International Open in 2012 at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof Cologne.

If you have not done so already, you can sign up to play the official 2024 DP World Tour Fantasy game here and submit your six-man team before round one gets under way on Thursday.

The 2024 season-long winner will win a trip to the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai next year, enjoy a lesson with a DP World Tour professional and a round of golf on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. For more information on this amazing prize and others, read here.

Fantasy Insight: As it stands, Ryan Fox is the favourite among players of our Fantasy Game this week, featuring in 68% of teams. Other popular players include Patrick Reed (51%) and Matti Schmid (47%).

Marcel Siem, who triumphed last week in Italy just his fourth event back from hip surgery, is the fourth most picked player, featuring in 42% of Fantasy teams.

Fantasy Prize

Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.

Favourite - Ryan Fox

Dual member Ryan Fox is returning to the DP World Tour this week as a fan favourite, selected by 68% of users of our Fantasy Game.

After finishing fifth in the 2024 Race to Dubai, helped by his victory at the 2023 BMW PGA Championship, Fox earned one of the ten PGA TOUR cards and has been playing the majority of his season in the United States. Recent success includes two top tens in his last six starts, including a tie for seventh at the RBC Canadian Open.

And while he’s making just his third appearance in a regular DP World Tour event this season, it’s to a place where he has a history of playing well. Although he missed last year’s tournament, Fox finished tied 14th the first time he teed up at GolfClub München Eichenreid in 2021, and followed it with a third place in 2022 that included a second round 64. In fact, in eight rounds at the German venue, Fox is an accumulative 31-under-par, with his worst a level par 72 in that span.

Form Horse - Andrea Pavan

Italy’s Andrea Pavan has recently continued his climb back up the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex and will be hoping to keep that momentum going as he returns to the scene of his most recent DP World Tour victory – which he won in 2019.

The 34-year-old had a well documented struggle that saw him make just 14 cuts in 63 events over the next three seasons following his win, but a victory on the Challenge Tour at last year’s D+D Real Czech Challenge helped him regain his DP World Tour card at the first attempt for this year.

Despite a slow start to 2024, Pavan has hit his stride in recent weeks. Having finished tied fifth at the KLM Open, Pavan led the field in strokes gained approach last week on his way to a tie for fourth at the Italian Open presented by Regione Emilia-Romagna.

Wildcard - Jannik De Bruyn

A German name to watch out for this week, DP World Tour Qualifying School graduate Jannik De Bruyn has been making the most of his recent starts.

Following a last-minute call last Tuesday, De Bruyn made his way from the Challenge Tour in France to the DP World Tour in Italy, and posted a Friday 67 to lead the way after the second round. Eventually finishing in a tie for third, he explained that “I enjoy teeing up here every chance I get”, which also includes a recent tie for 18th at the European Open.

De Bruyn, who turned professional in 2021 and won an event in 2022 on the Pro Golf Tour, has been in a strong recent run of form that saw him finish third on the Challenge Tour prior to his recent DP World Tour success. Making his second appearance in the BMW International Open, De Bruyn made the cut here last year but struggled in the final round, so with some more experience under his belt coupled with recent form he’ll be hoping to go a little better this time around.

Looking back – Italian Open

Picked by just 3.5% of Fantasy users and registering a return of 187 points, Marcel Siem made a closing birdie to force a play-off with Tom McKibbin then birdied again for his sixth DP World Tour victory in just his fourth start following hip surgery.

Of our pre-tournament selections, Tom McKibbin, the Favourite, was the best-performing player, losing in a play-off to Siem as he earned 180 points for the 20% of Fantasy users who picked him.

Our Form Horse Guido Migliozzi finished in a tie for 22nd, earning 128 points, while Wild Card Andy Sullivan missed the cut by one shot.
