Dane Joachim B Hansen surged into a share of the lead in the second round of the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final, reaching the turn in four under par.
The 22 year old had five consecutive birdies from the fifth to reach eight under par, alongside Englishman Gary Lockerbie and Norwegian Espen Kofstad, who were three and two under for the day respectively.
Four players, including overnight co-leader Michael Lorenzo-Vera, were at seven under par and five were another shot back at six under.
