The Big Green Egg German Challenge powered by VcG takes place at Wittelsbacher Golfclub & Hotel from September 9 – 12 and here are three players to keep an eye on this week.

Marcus Helligkilde

Denmark’s Marcus Helligkilde will be competing in Germany this week after a stand-out month in August, which included his maiden European Challenge Tour victory at the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge. Most recently the Dane finished in a tie for second place at the B-NL Challenge Trophy in the Netherlands after losing out to Spaniard Alfredo Garcia-Heredia in a seven-hole play-off along with Iceland’s Haraldur Magnus and Northern Irishman Michael Hoey. He will be looking to capitalise on his consistency and keep the momentum of the last month going in Germany this week.

Hurly Long

Hurly Long is back on home soil in Germany this week after finishing in a tie for fifth place in his most recent event at the B-NL Challenge Trophy in the Netherlands. The 26-year-old has recorded six top 20 finishes on the Road to Mallorca and is currently sitting in 14th place on the Rankings. With one Challenge Tour victory to his name, which arrived at the Italian Challenge Open Eneos Motor Oil in 2020, he will look to get back to winning ways this week in Germany.

Oliver Bekker

Oliver Bekker is still in search of his maiden Challenge Tour victory after a string of impressive performances on the Road to Mallorca, including most recently a runner-up finish at the British Challenge Presented by Modest! Golf Management. The Road to Mallorca Number Five will have his eyes firmly set on the Big Green Egg German Challenge powered by VcG prize this week and will look to take inspiration from his winning compatriots – Brandon Stone, JC Ritchie and Wilco Neinaber, who were all successful in sealing Challenge Tour victories earlier this year.
