Welshman Sion Bebb continued to make good use of his last-minute chance to play the KLM Open in The Netherlands when the third round began.
Bebb, 40, looked set to miss out until Iceland's Birgir Hafthorsson withdrew and after making the halfway cut with one shot to spare he moved only two shots off the lead by going to the turn in a four under 32.
The son of Wales rugby legend Dewi Bebb has not played a European Tour event since the Saint Omer Open two months ago - and finished seventh in that.
Sweden's Alexander Noren also grabbed four birdies on the front nine to reach six under, but overnight leaders Darren Clarke and Peter Hedblom had yet to resume.
