PERSONAL ASSISTANTS
If you need a personal assistant to attend an event with you, the DP World Tour offers a complimentary carer ticket to customers with disability who have purchased a ticket. To request a carers ticket please contact the call centre on UK 01344 840550, Outside UK +44 1344 840550 or by emailing ticketing@europeantourgroup.com

Proof of eligibility is required.

WHEELCHAIR/MOTORISED CHAIR ACCESS
Wheelchairs and other motorised chairs are allowed on the tournament grounds however we encourage you to use Event Mobility should you require to use them. Golf carts are not permitted.

A dedicated accessible viewing area will be positioned beside the 18th green, the 1st tee and 9th green.

Accessible toilet facilities are located at all on-course public catering areas and within the main Championship Village.

EVENT MOBILITY
Event Mobility (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) will be providing electric mobility scooters and manual wheelchairs at this event for the use of mobility-impaired, disabled, and elderly visitors. To reserve an electric mobility scooter or manual wheelchair please book online at www.eventmobility.org.uk/book-your-scooter.

Online bookings must be made at least 2 days before the event. Bookings cannot be taken during the event. If there is spare equipment available at the event it is offered on a first-come, first-served basis only. The cost per day hire is £35 for an electric mobility scooter and £15 for a wheelchair.

Event Mobility will be located next to Car Park 5 (Blue Badge parking). If you are traveling to the event using the public park & ride service, Event Mobility can deliver your hire item to the main drop-off point at the Welcome Tent to be ready for your arrival. This can be arranged when making your booking. Please note that it is a 5-minute walk from the park and ride drop-off location to the Welcome Tent. Event Mobility is at a number of other events. DEDICATED VIEWING AREAS

  • 1st tee
  • 9th green
  • 18th green

Access to these areas will be on a first come first served basis and also will be available to accompany carers (max of one). The viewing areas can become congested but we aim to accommodate everyone as best as we can. Please ask a Marshall if you require any assistance.

Generally, spectator viewing is available all around the course from behind the rope line. Please take care on rough and sloping group and be aware that some areas may become soft and/or slippery in wet conditions.

ACCESSIBLE TOILET FACILITIES
Accessible toilet facilities are provided at a number of sites across the event site.

  • The Championship Village
  • Behind 1st Tee
  • Beside 18th tee
  • Between 4th tee and 6th green
  • Between 1st tee and 2nd green

*Baby changing facilities are located within the accessible toilet

CAR PARKING
All parking is complimentary at this event. There is designated parking for Blue Badge holders is located within Car Park 5 (please follow signposts). Please email ticketing@europeantourgroup.com in advance to arrange this.

PARK & RIDE
All Park & Ride buses are run by Translink and have standard accessibility features for users with impaired mobility. www.translink.co.uk

ASSISTANCE DOGS
Trained assistance guide dogs are allowed entry to the Grounds. Please note that they must be on a lead at all times.

OTHER INFORMATION
The terrain at Royal County Down is undulating in many places. We have indicated the types of terrain on our dedicated accessibility map which will be available here shortly and at the Event Information tent and we recommend fans who have mobility issues proceed with caution at all times.

Our Information Centre is located in the main Championship Village and our volunteers who run it will be happy to help fans at the event.

All the units in the Welcome and Ticketing areas and the Championship Village are hard standing with ramps access where necessary. If you require assistance to access the catering units or the merchandise store please ask a member of staff.

Hospitality guests with additional accessibility requirements are advised to email eventinformation@europeantourgroup.com in advance to ensure that their accessibility needs are met.

The Ticket+ area has accessible facilities.
