Acoustic Lunch acts announced for BMW PGA Championship

The BMW PGA Championship Public Village

The eclectic line-up will entertain spectators on the Slingsby Show Stage at the prestigious Wentworth Club, playing in lunchtime slots during each tournament day of the fourth Rolex Series tournament of the European Tour’s 2019 Race to Dubai.

They will add their diverse and illustrious talents to an already star-studded musical line-up at the BMW PGA Championship, with electronic superstars Rudimental making a return to rock the Championship Village on the evening of Saturday September 21.

Rising pop icon Anne-Marie – who received three BRIT nominations last year after the release of her debut album ‘Speak Your Mind’, which featured the hit ‘2002’, co-written by Ed Sheeran – will bring the week to a close after the final putt on Sunday September 22.

Bry, whose name is Bryan O’Reilly, is a singer songwriter from Dublin known for his pop-infused indie rock songs and DIY approach. He recently made a triumphant return with his first single in three years, ‘Why Are You Bothering With Me?’, and is currently touring Europe. He will play his Acoustic Lunch set on Sunday September 22.

Tom Speight blends elements of folk, contemporary pop, and intimate singer songwriter fare and this year released his latest album Collide. The Londoner has racked up more than 20 million hits on Spotify and featured in a high-profile live session on Jo Whiley’s BBC radio show. He will rock the Championship Village on Saturday September 21.

Rothwell, originally from Bristol but now based in London, has been the subject of some hype within the pop music industry and her 2018 single Velvet Heart entered the iTunes top 20 after being aired on ITV’s Love Island. She has recently been touring on the back of her latest single ‘Follow When You’re Dancing’ and will play the Slingsby Show Stage on Friday September 20.

Wild Front will kick off proceedings on Thursday September 19 when they bring their dreamy indie pop, which has been compared to Alt J, The Temper Trap and The 1975, to the BMW PGA Championship.

The historic event will feature some the biggest names in world golf, including Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Jon Rahm, Francesco Molinari, Tommy Fleetwood, Paul Casey and Shane Lowry, among many others.

Tickets to see them, as well as pop superstars Rudimental and Anne-Marie and the Acoustic Lunch acts, are available here.
