Aberdeen Asset Management launch Golf Score Pro App

Aberdeen Asset Management, the global investment management company, has launched an updated and improved version of the Aberdeen Golf Score Pro App.  The App which was first launched in 2010 to help amateur golfers with their game, now boasts a wide range of added functionality. The App is designed to make a golfer’s game not only more interactive but also more enjoyable.

One of the new features is the live scorecard functionality which allows users to set up a round and invite multiple entrants whilst viewing scores from all groups within their game, not just their own.

There is also a new archived rounds feature, which allows users to view all previous rounds entered within the App, and the listings for the majority of UK golf clubs now include scorecards for White, Yellow and Red tees. In addition to this is a new weather forecast function that gives instant access to weather details for each club.

This is in addition to the original functionality which includes a customisable scorecard and a handicap tracker which helps identify trends against rounds to give players a real-time view of how they’re playing, wherever they are playing.

A new ‘Buddy’ functionality has also been added to the ‘Tracker’ section of the App, which allows access to a friend’s Tracker details to see how they have been playing as well.

Aberdeen Asset Management golf ambassador, Paul Lawrie says of the App: “Golf is a sociable game and friendly rivalry amongst your playing partners is a big part of that. The new ‘Buddy’ functionality of the Aberdeen Golf Score Pro App, allowing users to track their friends’ rounds really taps into that and I’m sure will lead to much banter among golfing friends across the UK.”

Aberdeen is a significant supporter of golf and the development of its Golf Score Pro App enhances its commitment to the game from the amateur ranks and playing community through to the elite levels of the professional sport. The 2012 Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open on the European Tour takes place at Castle Stuart Golf Links, Inverness from July 12th -15th. The Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open, a Ladies European Tour event, took place in May at Archerfield Links, East Lothian. Aberdeen’s professional golf ambassadors include Colin Montgomerie, Paul Lawrie, Martin Laird, Catriona Matthew and Carly Booth. Aberdeen also supports both the Ladies and Men’s Scottish Amateur Golf Teams.
