A – Autograph– Rory McIlroy made up for hitting a spectator with a drive on Saturday by signing a ball for him in the middle of his round.

B – Birdies– Champion Hideki Matsuyama made 29 birdies over the course of the four rounds.

C – Course– Sheshan Golf Club, located on the outskirts of Shanghai, hosted this event for the 11th time.

D – Dubai – Henrik Stenson leads the European Tour Race to Dubai standings after finishing in a share of second with Daniel Berger.

E – Eagles– Five eagles were made on the par five second hole throughout the week.

F – First hole – The par four first hole was the toughest of the week, with 95 bogeys and 9 double-bogeys made over four rounds.

G – Greens in regulation – Paul Casey and Matt Fitzpatrick both hit 81 percent of greens in regulation, more than any other player.

H – Hole-in-one – Matt Kuchar aced the 17th hole on Saturday from 193 yards with a five-iron.

I – Inward nine– Matsuyama dropped just two shots on his inward nines all week, with both coming on the first day.

J – Japanese– Matsuyama is the first player from Japan to win a WGC event.

K – Karlberg – Sweden’s Karlberg led after 18 holes.

L – Last hole– The closing hole yielded 88 birdies and one eagle last week. It was the 13th toughest on the course.

M – Matsuyama– The 24 year old is the 26th different Asian winner on the European Tour.

N – Nine – Matsuyama’s win is the ninth by an Asian player on Tour this season.

O – Outward nine– Stenson began his front nine on Saturday with four birdies in a row.

P – Putting– China’s Zecheng Dou had the best average putting score of the week with 26.00.

Q – Quote of the week– “It’s going to be tight all the way to the end and that’s the way we like it.” – Henrik Stenson on who will finish top of the Race to Dubai standings.

R – Russell Knox – The defending champion played in the final group on Sunday alongside Matsuyama and Berger.

S – Stenson – The Swede recorded his second runner up finish of the season in China – the first came at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in December.

T – Turnaround– Adam Scott responded to a second round of 80 to shoot 64 and 66 over the weekend.

U – Up and down – McIlroy made a superb up and down after his tee shot at the seventh on Sunday hit a tree.

V – Victory– Matsuyama’s win is the second for Japan on the European Tour.

W – Winners– There have been 14 first-time winners on tour this season, including Matsuyama.

X – Xinjun Zhang-  The 29 year old was the highest placed Chinese player, finishing in a share of 21st.

Y – Youngest winner– Matsuyama is the youngest winner of the WGC-HSBC Champions at 24 years and 141 days old.

Z – Zero bogeys - Matsuyama went 45 holes without a bogey on his way to victory.
