The $2.25million Hero Indian Open will be the second tournament on the DP World Tour’s Asian Swing – the third of five Global Swings which form the first phase of the DP World Tour’s 2025 global schedule.

For the sixth consecutive year, the DLF Golf & Country Club, designed by nine-time Major winner Gary Player, will host the Hero Indian Open. The first edition in 2017 saw home favourite S.S.P. Chawrasia secure a seven-shot triumph, and in 2023 it was honoured with the distinguished title of India’s Number One Golf Club at the tenth Annual World Golf Awards.

Japan’s Keita Nakajima won his maiden DP World Tour title at DLF Golf & Country Club earlier this year with a four-shot wire-to-wire victory at one of the toughest layouts on the DP World Tour.

Ben Cowen, the DP World Tour’s Chief Tournament and Operations Officer, said: “DLF Golf & Country Club is world-class course that provides our players with a true test every year, so we are grateful to everyone at the venue for their continued support and hospitality.

"We are grateful for the continued partnership with Hero MotoCorp and Dr. Pawan Munjal on India's national open. Their unwavering support for this event and unparalleled contribution to global golf is invaluable."

“I would also like to thank the Indian Golf Union (IGU), for their hard work in continuing to develop the golf in India. This tournament has played such an important role in helping them to achieve that and we look forward to the 2025 edition in March.”

Tusch Daroga, Vice President of DLF Golf & Country Club, said: "We are thrilled to once again host the Hero Indian Open, which showcases the Gary Player course to a worldwide audience. Our team is very proud of the high standards we maintain across our club and its facilities, and we look forward to welcoming some of the best players from the DP World Tour to our award-winning Championship course."

Mr Brijinder Singh, President, Indian Golf Union said: “The Indian Golf Union, the proud organiser of India’s flagship golf event, are extremely grateful to Hero MotoCorp, the DP World Tour and DLF Golf & Country Club for their unwavering commitment and continuous support of our national open.

“The Hero Indian Open offers a pathway for Indian golfers to progress on to the DP World Tour and compete against some of the very best in the world. The event has consistently elevated the standard of golf in India and remains the pinnacle in the Indian golfing calendar.”
