Everything you need to know from day one in the Netherlands.
There was a tie at the top, Jamie Donaldson made a bit of history, we had not one but two holes-in-one and a footballing great made an appearance on day one of the KLM Open.
Here is everything you need to know from Thursday at The International.
Manassero and Korhonen share lead
Korhonen added a birdie-birdie finish to a hole-in-one to join Manassero at the top of the leaderboard. Manassero had finished a bogey-free 64 with two birdies of his own to set the target at seven under just days after teeing it up in the U.S. Open as his remarkable renaissance continues. But Korhonen - making just his third start of the season - joined him at the summit, one shot clear of Japan's Rikuya Hoshino. American Sean Crocker, Italian Edoardo Molinari, England's James Morrison and Swede Henrik Norlander were then two shots off the lead.
Lightning strikes twice
It was only six days ago that we had two holes-in-one in the same round at the U.S. Open and it happened again in Amsterdam. First Gavin Green holed a five-iron from 222 yards on the 17th for his first ace as a professional and then Korhonen found the target with a 159-yard eight iron. We have now had 17 holes-in-one in the 2024 season.
500 up for Donaldson
Donaldson has reached the notable milestone of 500 appearances on the DP World Tour this week. The Welshman becomes the 47th player in Tour history to reach that figure, more than 23 years after making his debut. In addition to his three wins on the DP World Tour, another career highlight came in the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, where he secured the winning point for Europe as his side retained the famous trophy. "It feels like more [than 500]," he said after being presented with a silver salver following his opening one-over-par 73. "It's a nice landmark. Obviously it has been a long time, 2001 is the first time I played any DP World Tour golf. It goes quick. It is a lot of golf, a lot of tournaments, a lot of years but from when you start you don't believe it is going to go as quick as it has done. There have been some highs and lows but it's been enjoyable mainly."
Hoshino on the comeback trail
Last week's U.S. Open was Hoshino's first start since March after he suffered a collapsed lung. That makes his 65 all the more impressive and should he continue that form and win this week, it would be one of the stories of the season. More play like this and he just might.
Van Basten gets us under way
The entire continent has caught football fever with Euro 2024 currently being played in Germany but here just over the border, we had some footballing royalty on the first tee. Dutch great Marco van Basten hit the ceremonial opening tee-shot and then got to have his picture taken with a DP World Tour great - our esteemed starter Alistair Scott.

One for the List
PGA TOUR regular Luke List is playing this week on an invite and we are delighted to have him - especially if he keeps hitting shots like this.
