How to get to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open will be played at Lahinch Golf Club 3 July- 7 July 2019. 

It is anticipated that there will be a high number of spectators attending throughout the week. 

There will be limited parking available at Lahinch town. All event parking will be located at the official Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Park & Ride. 

Visitors wishing to travel to Lahinch, who are not planning on attending the Golf, are permitted to use the Event Park & Ride system free of charge.

Local area restrictions

To assist with traffic management and reduce congestion in the immediate vicinity of Lah inch Town & Ennistymon, there will be several additional traffic regulations and parking restrictions in place. 

An Gorda S1ochana will be on duty to minimise disruption to local residents and businesses, assist traffic flow and increase safety and security for all road users.

Car & Motorcycle

There will be limited car parking for spectators attending the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Lahinch Golf Club and in Lahinch Town. All public parking will be located at the official Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Park & Ride. 

Spectators choosing to travel to the event by car or motorcycle will be directed to Park & Ride sites by Variable Messaging Signs (VMS) and specific event signs provided by The AA. 

Spectators are advised to turn off their satellite navigation systems and follow the appropriate signage. Park & Ride facilities are established to cater for spectators travelling by road with pick up/drop off locations close to the entrance of the event. 

This will significantly reduce the amount of vehicle movement through the town and minimise congestion in busy areas, although traffic volumes will be higher in the area.

From Dublin (Leinster)

M7 towards Limerick. Join M18 towards Ennis/Galway. Take Junction 12 for Ennis. Take N85 towards lnagh. At lnagh turn left (R460) toward Miltown Malbay.

Follow AA signs to Park & Ride.

From the Galway (Connacht)

Join M18 towards Ennis/Limerick. Take Junction 12 for Ennis. Take N85 towards lnagh. At lnagh turn left (R460) toward Miltown Malbay.

From the South

At Limerick. Join M18 towards Ennis/Galway. Take Junction 12 for Ennis. Take NBS towards lnagh. At lnagh turn left (R460) toward Miltown Malbay.

Park & Ride

All Public Parking is FREE and is located at the official Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Park & Ride site.

Please turn off your satellite navigation systems and follow the appropriate signage.

Please follow VMS & event signage for the FREE Park & Ride Car Park.

Park & Ride facilities are established to cater for spectators travelling by road with pick up/drop that will drop guest off a short walk to the entrance to the golf course.

There will be no event related public parking in or around Lahinch Town.

Those wishing to visit Lahinch can use the Park & Ride free of charge.

Traveling By Taxi

Drop Off/ Pick up in operation from 3- 7 July. Junction by Sancta Maria Hotel.

Accessibility

Blue badge holders will be able to park in dedicated areas at the front of the Park and Ride, you do not need to pre-book these spaces.

You will need to display your blue badge to gain entry to your preferred Park and Ride.

Access

During the week of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open there will be a number of Road Closures and Parking Restrictions in place. 

These restrictions are necessary to ensure public safety and local access during the week. 

In accordance with the Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993s, the following roads will be restricted during the week of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. 

*THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VEHICLE ACCESS FROM LAHINCH TO LISCANNOR USING THE LISCANNOR ROAD DURING THE ABOVE TIMES. *
