Rickie Fowler hits 458-yard drive in Scotland

Rickie Fowler recorded one of the longest drives in European Tour history yesterday during the third round of the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open. The American, world number seven hit his drive on the downhill, down-wind par four 10th hole a staggery 458-yards and through a spectator walkway. Conditions at this week's venue at Gullane Golf Club have been dry and firm thanks to three months of rainfall in which saw less than 50% of the seasonal average.

Fowler would go on to par the hole on his way to a 68, just one shot off the lead.
